I was driving on a rural road in Kerala, India. There was another car behind me. We were driving at a moderate speed because a turn was coming up. I saw a female dog and her puppy crossing the road about 10-15 meters ahead of me. I hit the brakes and narrowly avoided the pup. But the car behind me decided to overtake me and ran over the puppy. Then he just drove away.
I stopped the car at the side of the road. The puppy was wriggling and blood was coming out of his mouth. Nobody came to help it. Then both the parent dogs and a sibling puppy came out of the bushes to check on the injured puppy. They were all in the middle of the road and it was a very dangerous situation. I walked up to the injured puppy, picked it up, and laid him at the side of the road. The pup’s family gathered around it as it died.
I knew it was too late to save it and drove away, feeling heartbroken. A little while later, I drove back home on the same route and saw the pup’s body still lying where I had left it. I had my own dog in the car with me. I don’t know how much he saw and how he feels about it.

I cried reading this.
That person who ran over the pup without caring will get his karma.
May that pup’s soul rest in peace.

Happens quite often. I slowed down to let an adult dog cross and an asshole decided to overtake me on the right. Luckily, the adult dog was agile enough and ran & crossed just in time.

May the pup killer be run over in the same fashion; may the dogs soul rest in peace
