The MIL’s first offense? Commenting on the woman’s body not once, but twice. Ironically, the woman weighs less than her MIL, making the remarks even more unnecessary and mean-spirited. The MIL also accused her of not taking care of her kids, even though her children are thriving with healthy growth rates and happy demeanors. But according to MIL logic, if she doesn’t see the kids being fed with her own eyes, then it just didn’t happen.

The kicker is the hypocrisy. When the MIL’s own children were between the ages of 5 and 12, she left them in the care of random people, which unfortunately led to traumatic experiences for all three of her kids. Yet, she’s quick to criticize her daughter-in-law’s parenting choices.

One of the most ridiculous issues revolves around socks—yes, socks. The woman’s one-year-old pulls off their socks while indoors, and she doesn’t see the big deal. But MIL won’t let it go. She goes on and on about the baby needing socks, turning something trivial into an unnecessary argument.
